Starting out on July 4th, 2015 with a show following the Parade in LaPorte, the first Local Heroes event did not yet have the name, Red Wine and Brew. What it did have was a lot of community collaboration centered around great music and fireworks. The event has moved a few times as it kept outgrowing locations... until now. The Summit location on 500 West between LaPorte and Michigan City has afforded the opportunity for growth and stability of staying in one place thanks to some generous sponsors.
